Cestrum Nocturnalis One of my favorite albums. The instrumental is unique and the drums, even though "messy", fit perfectly with all the other elements. It's practically a bad trip, where you can see melancholic scenes and even feel nostalgic as the album progress. Favorite track: She loves you....

Luke Opening with Abbey Lincoln's definitive rendition of unreleased Billie Holiday song, Left Alone (natch), you have to admire the confidence of any musician to riff over what was originally a Max Roach / Art Davis rhythm section and iconic Coleman Hawkins sax solo – let alone in infamously fudging-the-details DSBM. But such is the ambition (or youthful naïveté) on this masterwork of slow burning late nite metal. Grand, solemn, and astounding throughout. Not to be missed by early Sadness fans. Favorite track: Burning gardens.

Kraken King very emotional my personal favorite album to cry to im bad at words but god the raw feeling u captured in this.. a masterpeice fr ive never not cried upon the climax of she loves you Favorite track: She loves you....

I've been slowing working my way through Sadness' discography and it's crazy how he makes "depressive" black metal sound so beautiful. It's like the frigidness of early Coldworld mixed with the dreamy and lighter parts of Alcest. This one is the best I've heard from this band so far. Ryan
